Plumbing Insurance
For a plumber there is the potential of a large claim being made against you should you inadvertently make a mistake or because you fail to complete a piece of work to your normal high standard. Should you fail to insert a seal or not solder a joint correctly a leak of water can cause many thousands of pounds of damage to a property prior to it being detected.
Because of this alone you need to ensure that you have sufficient plumbing insurance cover in place to protect yourself against possible large claims. It may only occur once in your working lifetime but that claim may be sufficient to put you out of business.
Here at the Lifesure Group we recognise that you need to be insured correctly. We have an online plumbing insurance quote service that will make things as easy as possible and guide you through the process of getting plumbing insurance cover. However should you need to speak with one of our plumbing insurance advisers, we are available on (01480) 402460 from Monday until Friday and Saturday mornings.
Plumbing Insurance cover is available for:
- Public liability up to a limit of £5 million

Why do you need a Plumbing Public Liability Insurance?
As a plumber you could find yourself working on anything from a large contract on a new construction site to a small domestic job. Careful as you may be there is always the possibility of an incident that may lead to a claim being made against you. Additionally should a member of the public be injured and you be held responsible for the injury you could be facing a large compensation claim with additional legal expenses.
If there is property damage to be considered once again legal costs or compensation could severely impact your business making public liability insurance a very important consideration. Our online plumbing insurance quote system will provide an immediate quote for limits from £1 million to £5 million. Once more, if you feel you would like to discuss your plumbing insurance requirements, we are here to help.
Do I need employers liability insurance?
You are legally required to have employers liability insurance if you have other people working for you, be they employees, trainees, or even subcontractors who are acting upon your instructions. Click here to find out who is your employee.
What else can plumbing insurance cover?
As Plumbing Insurance options you can also add to your policy
- Cover for your tools which will be insured against loss, if they are stolen, or damaged. Obviously there’ll be exclusions under this cover, for example, should your tools be stolen from an unattended vehicle if they are left in their overnight unless it is garaged.
- You can cover your plant or plant you hire in.
- Contract works can be included should you wish to do so and this would cover your build project against theft or damage occurring
- Additionally personal accident cover may be included as well as commercial legal cover should this be required.
Remember that all insurance policies are subject to terms and conditions, exclusions and excesses. Ensure you check both the Summary of Cover and the Policy Wording that is available once the quote has begun. Also the policy endorsements are listed when the quote is given and will show any restrictions in cover.
And…when you’ve bought your plumbing insurance policy we are always here to help you.
